Noveau Riche

Okay, if you haven't heard that Lupe album is crazy. The album not only gave everybody their Lupe fix needed for the year...but it also introduced some new characters. One of them being Ms. Nikki Jean.
Nikki Jean aka Ms."Hip Hop Saved My Life" has been a part of a group called Noveau Riche (french for new rich..)for a minute now. I've heard of the group, but none of their material. A Longtail EP was e-mailed to me a week ago...but I never got around to listening to it, until today. I don't know what I was expecting, but it exceded my expectations. The sound reminds me of (I hope I don't offend) Norah Jones meets 'Wanderland' Kelis with rap verses over melodic smooth orchestrations. You can judge for yourself below...
